This is the first of 12 musical entries for your holiday enjoyment. Last year’s offer still stands, but I thought this year I’d highlight some seasonal music that strays from the usual radio bleating and mall mush (yes, for gosh sakes, we do know it’s Christmas, and so do they). At any rate, Day One follows:
Call Collect On Christmas – James King Band
The James King Band hail from Virginia and play traditional bluegrass music. The group was named emerging artists of the year by the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) in 1997, and this little gem comes from Rounder Records’ 2002 O Christmas Tree – A Bluegrass Christmas. I kind of enjoy the harmonies and the fiddle music, and hope you do too!
Enjoy!!
